Perry & Associates, Inc., was founded in 1993 by its President, Richard (Rick) M. Perry, Jr.
From 1991 through 1994, Rick also worked for Anne Thompson, MAI and her firm, United Appraisal Services, Inc. There, Rick appraised many types of commercial properties including warehouses in Norfolk Industrial Park, large office buildings and shopping centers in Chesapeake, general retail facilities in Virginia Beach, large apartment complexes throughout Hampton Roads and a large tax credit apartment project in the Baltimore/D.C. market.
Today, Perry & Associates, Inc. is known for its thorough and fair assessment of commercial and residential properties.
It is through this vast experience, that Perry & Associates' primary clients benefit. With focus on residential evaluations, the complex assignments (such as a triplex under renovation in a market of regentrification) are performed competently and accurately. The other staff appraisers at P&A also benefit from Rick's supervision on such challenging assignments.

Rick Perry began appraising houses in Richmond, Virginia in 1988 and since has performed appraisal work throughout the state of Virginia. He received a MBA with a Concentration in Real Estate and Urban Land Development from Virginia Commonwealth University and was awarded a merit based graduate scholarships from the Appraisal Institute and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). The accumulation of these experiences and achievements gives Perry & Associates, Inc. some of the broadest personal market knowledge in Virginia and beyond.
